With a crackle and hiss the tiny goblin materialized in the center of the cavernous chamber. Disoriented, he glanced quickly from side to side, taking in the astonished looks of the small party of battle weary adventurers who had summoned him, before, finally and fatefully, looking up into the rapidly descending jaws of an enormous dragon. In a tiny, squeaky, quivering voice he uttered the only words of his brief and ill-fated existence... "oh shit".
Well, you know me, I'm free pretty much any given weekend. If I had the choice I'd say October 11th, which is 2 days after my brother's 21st...2008-1987...yeah, 21st, birthday. He probably wouldn't, but if its going to be that close and he goes with us he could have some mead then :D
Every third weekend is automatically out because I work at the library, that's 33% of the options gone right there.
I work at a community center the other weekends. Schedule requests are due by the 15th, so I have one week to decide what weekends I can work in September and what I should leave open.
D&D is every three weeks and I'm not sure I want to do Ren Fest all day and then gaming all night, so in essence that elimates another 17%.
Sometimes I help out with special events at the library (gaming tournament) or have other social engagements.
I like to visit my family sometimes, which generally requires a Saturday overnight stay.
Every once in a while I like to say hi to my spouse.
So . . . not a lot of time left for all-day weekend outings.

a) why are you so busy? and...
b) some of us find it difficult to plan that far ahead, especially since, you know, semesters and such haven't started.
