First, questions: Will there be a Lummoxian adventure in the offing soon? Because I certainly do not want to step on any toes; and I assume that the great weight of group interest still tends towards Ptolus as opposed to a 4e homebrew?
Depending on the answers to these questions, and given the fact that my life appears to be on the brink of a period of stability (Pelor willing), I'm thinking of making some dates concrete. That is, for beginning the long teased, and long awaited campaign.
I look forward to your comments.

I can't speak to Lummox's plans, but I'm still excited by Ptolus as a setting that seems to encourage good character development and role-playing opportunities. I'm not willing to commit to running a game myself so have no room to complain about our current lack of gaming, but am very excited to jump in as a player if you're going to run one. I'm happy to host.
I'm both alive and willing to play something.

I was just about to comment about the dearth of comments when Tiger showed up. Well done, sir. I think that the next campaign I run will be Ptolus because a)everybody has been waiting for it for so long, and b) I've got to get some more value out of that very very expensive book. Aside from textbooks, it is the most expensive book I've ever bought.
So,... timing wise, I was thinking of starting the physical game next summer, say, June-ish. That will give me some time to settle into my new job before I commit to regular trips to Kansas City. Plus, it will give me time to go over the materials some more, and for us to start developing characters, backstories, etc. In the meantime, I need to get some sort of player count.
The Lummoxiad is still in the works. :) The floor is yours counselor.
"The Lummoxiad," I like the sound of that. Very well, then. Ptolus it is. Pre-game stuff to begin immediately, physical game itself I expect May or June.
